My name is Mallory Daley.
For the last four plus years, I’ve been privileged to work for Canada’s NDP. Most recently, leading the party’s online fundraising team, we set fundraising records, mobilized thousands of grassroots activists to offline action, and recruited the largest number of donors in Canadian political history.
Progressive campaigns succeed by using the best tools to meet our supporters where they’re at, and give them a meaningful way to participate in social change.
As anyone who knows me can attest, I’m passionate about politics, baseball, my hometown of Sarnia, Ontario, and most of all, the power of digital to build successful campaigns. I believe that digital is the key to effective modern campaigns – combining creative content with good-old-fashioned organizing to achieve lasting results.
Some people might call me an email geek – and that’s probably true. I’ve written thousands of campaign emails, and am always looking for creative new tactics or subject lines. My gold standard for email is one I received from Barbara Streisand with the subject line “Hello, Gorgeous” and the call to action: “The world is waiting to hear your voice, Mallory. Please, donate $5 to EMILY’s List now.”
I’m thrilled to be joining Michael Roy and the rest of the Point Blank team as Director of Digital starting in January. I can’t wait to take on new challenges as part of the fastest growing digital shop in Canada, and help causes and movements across the country unleash the power of digital to take their campaigns to the next level.
I call Ottawa home – it’s where I live with my partner (and soon a puppy!). Follow me at @mallorydaley.
