Can’t Afford Childcare
With the cost and waitlists for childcare skyrocketing the BCGEU and its community partners decided they needed to raise the profile of this issue in the lead-up to the BC Provincial Election. On a limited budget Point Blank designed a microsite and produced a satirical web video campaign.
The Cost of Sprawl
Working with the University of Ottawa, the Point Blank team designed and implemented a shareable campaign microsite to help launch a report to engage the Canadian public on the effects of urban sprawl in Canada. Point Blank provided public relations assistance to generate earned media coverage of the launch and spearhead digital engagement.
When PEA – the union representing government professionals in BC – came to us ahead of collective bargaining, they had a challenge: the government was cutting back on professionals and scientists that the PEA represents, but the union didn’t have the financial resources for a wide-ranging TV ad campaign to fight back. Working closely with the PEA leadership, we developed Endangered Experts, a digital-first campaign to protect the professionals who provide expert advice to government.
New Guy Meets Union
When our friends at COPE 378 approached us to help them create a tool to introduce new members to their union, we thought an enthusiastic approach might work yet. Working with both professional actors and members of the union, we created engaging – and fun – web videos to help COPE 378 engage new members, and make their union more approachable.
