You have 3+ years experience writing in an agency setting, and have a real talent for distilling complex messaging into succinct and compelling content. You like coming up with strategic ideas as much as crafting compelling long copy and hate it when people tell you “long copy is dead.”

Although you may not know all the latest TikTok dance moves, you understand the value of keeping up with the latest social trends—to help you generate fresh and relatable content for those platforms and innovative ideas for other media. You have a firm grasp on your own voice as a writer, but have a real skill for replicating the tones of other established voices.

When it comes to advertising awards, they’re nice to have, but you’ve got your eye on solving real-world problems. You’re passionate about fighting for social issues and lasting change, and are looking for an opportunity to use your skills to that end.

As a member of Point Blank’s creative team, you’ll be responsible for writing and developing original creative concepts across a wide range of media, including but not limited to: television, radio, online, social, out of home, and print.

Reporting to the Creative Director, you will work collaboratively with designers, art directors and strategists to come up with big picture ideas. But you’ll also spend a lot of time sweating the details while crafting headlines, social post copy, emails, and web copy.

Point Blank is committed to equitable hiring, development, and promotion with recognition that equity-seeking candidates continue to face systemic barriers to employment. We see immense value in hiring, training and promoting professionals from a wide variety of backgrounds. Because of this, we particularly encourage candidates from equity-seeking and under-represented backgrounds to apply. This position can be based out of anywhere in Canada.
