PBC3 | March 27 | Health Canada, free creativity, sea otters

March 27, 2020

This week on PBC3, we’re…
💯 @ Health Canada’s COVID-19 infographics
✏️ @ Free creativity courses
🥰 @ Sea otters (and sneaky CTAs)

Spread knowledge, not COVID-19

If you’re glued to your social feeds like we’ve been for the past few weeks, chances are you’re taking in a LOT of news, information, and absolutely garbage memes about COVID-19. Maybe you’ve even made garbage memes about COVID-19. May we be the first to suggest you shut that TF down and share something useful?

Health Canada has done the work for you, friends. They have 21 (and counting!) shareable pandemic media including video, infographics, and radio spots. The media covers everything from social distancing primers to proper handwashing technique. They’re updating every few days, so you’ve got a constant stream of content to share.

Be a pal. Share the good stuff here.

Nothing says creativity like quarantine!

We see you, introverts – some of us were born for self-isolating. We’ve trained for it. We’ve spent hours and hours fucking around with art supplies honing our craft at home. But if you:

  • are off work
  • are bored
  • have bored kids
  • are going out of your goddamn mind with all the apocalyptic news

Domestika is here to help. This online creative college offers 10 free courses for anyone who wants to try their hand at creative practices like blogging, portrait photography, cartooning, and more. Starting a creative practice does wonders to reduce anxiety and get your mind off pandemic panic. Everyone starts somewhere – why not start here?

Sea Otters. That’s it. That’s the headline.

For those of us who don’t have pets at home to keep us company during self-isolation, zoos across the globe are coming in clutch with cute critter content. One of our favs is the Sea Otter Cam at the Vancouver Aquarium. As a team full of campaigners and animal rights activists, we also have mad respect for their sneaky CTAs to donate and help the sea otters. It’s win-win.

Get your otter fill (and give a little for sea critters if you’ve got it) here.
