The Canadian Labour Congress needed a holistic digital program that could increase visibility for its campaigns and trust among union members and the general public.
Point Blank provided a complete overhaul. Complete web redesign and build; digital ads for email list acquisition; issue-based campaigns on womens’ equity concerns (DoneWaiting.ca) and national pharmacare (aPlanForEveryone.ca); and training and onboarding dozens of labour councils onto NationBuilder.
Three years in, CLC is seeing massive wins. Over 51 labour organizations are now organizing on NationBuilder. With 14,680% growth on their email list, CLC is engaging more Canadians than ever. After 105,000 signatures and 30,000 emails to MPs, three federal political parties committed to national Pharmacare in the 2019 election.
The Canadian Labour Congress works hard to improve Canadians’ lives through legislative change and increased union density. While their efforts are well known on The Hill, CLC needed to increase visibility – and trust – among union members and the general public. CLC partnered with Point Blank for a massive overhaul of their digital program. This included a complete web redesign and build; digital ads for list acquisition; issue-based campaigns, like DoneWaiting.ca and aPlanForEveryone.ca; and training and onboarding dozens of labour councils onto NationBuilder. Three years into its iteration, the program has seen some big wins. CLC has garnered over 105,000 petition signatures and 30,000 emails to MPs on their Pharmacare campaign, which played a major role in the 2019 federal election, where three parties made platform commitments to national pharmacare. Through digital ad acquisition campaigns, we have grown their list 14,680%. And as of June 2020, 51 partner councils and federations across 9 provinces have been onboarded to NationBuilder.
